A randomized snake draft gives each player a unique lineup for the season. XL and XXL may use separate copies of a franchise across different players.
Draft football Team Cards once. Every team then scores automatically: 1 point for covering its line, ½ for a push, and 0 for a miss.
Choose the format, sport, and number of players. Everyone drafts the same number of Team Cards; there are no prices or tiers.
32 teams ÷ 4 players = a maximum of 8 picks each. Fanstrand rounds down so everyone gets an equal field without exhausting the available teams.

Each team earns 1 point for beating the locked spread, 0.5 for a push, and 0 for a miss.
Your teams score automatically every week, while Bye Flex covers idle teams without a forgotten selection.
Live cover standings move during games. The weekly score ledger preserves every final and roster move.
The base game has three outcomes and no hidden math. Take the final score, apply the frozen spread, and the result grades itself. Move the score and watch both players' points flip.
You do not return to submit picks. You return to watch every team you chose fight the number, move the live table, and turn one late score into the story your group talks about all week.
This clearly labeled example shows how equal scores separate. Your private league shows its own standings after play begins.
Every owned team without a scheduled game creates one Bye Flex credit. Use it during the bye week or either of the next 2 scoring weeks.
Undrafted teams form the free-agent pool. A drop and add is permanent once the new team’s next line locks.
Bye Flex uses a one-game rental, not ownership, so it still works when every league team was drafted.
The credit reopens and receives one additional scoring week if its replacement matchup is canceled before grading.
The player who holds a team when its bye begins earns the credit. That credit stays with the player after a trade.
A dropped team enters 24-hour waivers, preventing a private handoff to another player.
A rental cannot come from a matchup involving another team in that player’s lineup, which prevents double exposure. Different players may rent the same side.
Every player can see the spread used to score each game.
The official spread freezes exactly 48 hours before scheduled kickoff. Injury and weather news are represented without letting late movement change a score after the fact.
With three or more approved sources, Fanstrand removes quotes more than 1.5 points from the median, averages the rest, and rounds to the nearest half-point.
A lock requires at least two fresh named-bookmaker quotes captured within six hours before the 48-hour boundary. Fanstrand never calls one sportsbook a market average; stale, future-dated, single-source, and divergent-only evidence cannot grade a game.
The spread stays fixed for the scheduled kickoff. If kickoff moves by more than 24 hours, Fanstrand preserves the old record and creates a new 48-hour lock.
The accepted bookmaker quotes, line time, reschedules, final score, and corrections remain visible. Odds powered by OddsGuard supplies the current feed. If Fanstrand does not capture enough eligible quotes on time, the game remains ungraded instead of using a made-up past line.
Both teams still grade normally. One cover earns 1 point and the other earns 0. If the spread pushes, each earns 0.5. The matchup always contributes exactly 1 total point, so there is no bonus and no penalty for the collision.
Build two, three, four, or five-way trades. Every involved player approves the complete deal before any team changes hands.
Cover 1 · Push 0.5 · Miss 0. This is the cleanest comparison against traditional pick'em leagues.
Earn a weekly bonus only when every active team covers. Same-player collisions are excluded from eligibility.
One team scores 2×. The previous captain rolls forward, so nobody loses because they forgot to manage.
The regular-season deadline is fixed when the league starts and remains visible in the rules snapshot.

Both sides receive half a point. A cover earns one and a miss earns zero.
No. Final scores, saved lines, and corrections remain visible and cannot be privately edited.
Your teams are your picks. Your friends are the field. The locked line keeps every matchup alive, and the season decides who saw the board better.
